You’re probably also looking for some guidance to better understand wedding photography pricing and what’s actually included in each package.

But what are you really paying for?
You’ll likely come across many different options — from coverage hours, the number of edited images, to curated collections — yet what do all these really mean? Let’s explore together.

Every photographer structures their packages differently. Some may include printed photos, extended shooting time, a second photographer, wedding albums, or even a bottle of Champagne!

As for me, I prefer to keep things simple — focusing only on what truly matters to my clients. My goal is to make the process easy and stress-free, so you can enjoy what’s important: your wedding day and the beautiful memories we’ll create together.

UNDERSTANDING THE COST OF CAPTURING YOUR BIG DAY

Wedding photography prices and packages are made up of several key factors:

• The photographer’s experience and level of professionalism.

• The duration of your wedding day (for example, a 2-hour ceremony requires far less editing time than a 14-hour wedding celebration).

• The number of images you’ll receive after the event.

• How your photos will be delivered.

• Travel expenses for the photographer.

• Accommodation costs (if required).

• Wedding album or printed photos.

• Assistant or second photographer.

HOW MUCH DOES WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY COST IN VIETNAM

Wedding photography costs can vary depending on where you live and the photographer’s level of experience. Some photographers charge over 50 million VND and take on only around 15 weddings a year, while others may charge as little as 5 million.

From my experience, if you’re looking for a very basic photographer, you can expect to pay somewhere between 7 to 12 million VND. However, if you want a highly skilled and experienced photographer, you’re more likely to invest around 15 to 35 million VND for a full-day coverage.

It’s important to note that wedding photography prices can vary depending on the location. Nha Trang is a tourist city, so prices tend to be higher. However, no matter where you are, you can always find photographers that fit a wide range of budgets.

COST OF A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE VN

For example, I offer the following packages — the main differences between them are the shooting duration and the number of images you’ll receive. Some photographers may also include extras such as engagement sessions or wedding albums.

I offer these additional services as optional add-ons that clients can purchase separately. However, all of my packages include travel expenses anywhere within Vietnam!

WHY IS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY SO EXPENSIVE ?

If you hire an experienced and talented photographer, their pricing will naturally reflect that. Remember, wedding photography is a skillful craft that demands absolute precision — you only get one chance to get it right. It’s also a profession where the value of the work grows over time.

If you’re looking for someone who can handle any situation (such as rain, demanding family members, or tricky lighting conditions), you’ll need to consider a higher budget. Photographers are also limited in the number of weddings they can take on each year — not just because there are only so many weekends, but also due to the workload involved in preparation, shooting, editing, and delivering the final gallery.

Most photographers work between 10 to 14 hours on a wedding day. They’ll often return home with 8,000 to 12,000 images to sort through, and typically deliver between 600 to 1,000 fully edited photos.

HOW LONG SHOULD YOU HIRE A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER FOR?

The ideal photography coverage depends on three main factors:

• How elaborate your wedding will be

• Which moments you want professionally captured

• Your overall budget

You can get a better sense of what a photographer actually does throughout your wedding day in this article. If you’re having a small, intimate wedding or feel uncomfortable being photographed while getting ready — consider a shorter coverage option.

However, if you’d like to preserve every moment and your celebration includes both a ceremony and a reception, you’ll need at least 10 hours of coverage. And if your budget allows and you don’t want to worry about rushing or your photographer leaving before the dance floor comes alive, I recommend choosing a full-day, unlimited-time package.

DOES THE PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGE INCLUDE TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION COSTS?

My packages include travel and accommodation costs within Vietnam. I also offer packages for weddings across Southeast Asia and other international destinations. If your celebration starts early in the morning or ends late at night, I always make sure I’m well-rested and ready to capture your day at my best.

One important note: travel time to and from your wedding venue is not counted toward your package coverage. However, if we need to travel between multiple locations throughout the day, that travel time will be included in the total coverage.

DOES THE PACKAGE INCLUDE AN ONLINE PHOTO GALLERY ?

After a detailed and thoughtful photography process — what do you actually receive? Most photographers today no longer deliver photos via USB; instead, they provide online photo galleries, making it easy for you to share your images with family and friends.

With me, you’ll receive a personalized online gallery containing all your photos in both high resolution (for printing) and web resolution (for social media and online use). You’ll be able to download and keep everything safely stored!

AND HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE ?

I can guarantee that you’ll receive around 50 photos per hour of coverage. However, I never set a strict limit on the number of photos delivered — which means you’ll likely receive many more beautiful images!

After the shoot, I carefully review every photo (often thousands of them) and select only those with beautiful lighting, balanced composition, natural expressions, and open eyes. Each selected image is then professionally edited to ensure the best color tones, framing, and overall finish.

When you receive your gallery, all images will be free of watermarks, and you’ll own the full digital rights, allowing you to use and share your photos however you wish — these are truly your images.

DO I NEED ENGAGEMENT OR PRE-WEDDING PHOTOS ?

While it’s not mandatory, if you feel nervous in front of the camera or want to know what it’s like to work with me before your big day, an engagement photoshoot is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect and help you feel more relaxed about being photographed. I also love capturing the natural, laid-back moments between you two during this special time — no fancy outfits or wedding-day pressure needed!

But here’s the thing — you don’t have to do all of this right away. You can always choose to print or create your album a year later, or simply reach out a few months after the wedding when your budget feels more comfortable.
