7 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD DO AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT
I love it when my couples request pre-wedding photos, I mean I get to photograph couples throughout the day. So of course I'm all for it but that doesn't mean it's right for you.
There are many reasons why you should do a pre-wedding photo session and I will tell you about them, but first be sure of one thing – you definitely won't have to do anything you don't want to do, and don't let any supplier ask for something you don't want to do!
If after reading this article, you still don't want to take photos before the wedding day - completely normal! It's always your choice. But if you are wondering about this, the reasons below may convince you.
1. To dispel the "prejudice" that you will be frozen in front of the camera.
A lot of couples have told me that they feel really shy in front of the camera, and they don't know what to do when they're directed at them.
And I want to confirm that that is completely normal because most of us are not professional models. However I can assure you that when you work with someone who prioritizes the couple's emotions over their appearance - you will get photos where you don't feel awkward and look comfortable.
2. Here's how to practice for your wedding day photos.
I've photographed many couples on their wedding day – and it's truly been a wonderful experience. Most of the couples' wedding day photos are very beautiful and solemn.
The pre-wedding photos are a much more relaxed version. And if you like this experience and want to enjoy it on your wedding day, then get used to the Photographer's lens with a pre-wedding session.
3. That's how we get to know each other.
Unless we are already friends or acquaintances, most of us do not really know each other's personalities or ways of working. You may have found me on social media, and before our collaboration we only chatted a few times. So let's give each other a chance to work directly for once.
After all, I'll be hanging around you on your wedding day, so it only makes sense that we have a get-to-know-you session. We can talk about the wedding, your life and your feelings, I can also share with you the experiences that I have known before, which can help you feel less confused before the wedding day. This will also help you get used to my presence on your wedding day.
4. Helps you feel less stressed on your wedding day.
For couples who always feel shy in front of the camera – pre-wedding photography is a way to reduce that anxiety and stress.
The only thing I want to wish for you is that you will not be stressed in front of the camera and have the most brilliant moments on your big day.
5. Wedding photos cannot convey the entire story of a couple.
One of the more fun reasons to do pre-wedding photography is that I can easily capture your most casual and comfortable moments. Of course, on the wedding day, when you wear gorgeous outfits and have your hair and makeup done meticulously, the photos will be extremely beautiful and sparkling, but what about the remaining 99% of the time the two of you spend together? ? Do you like going to the beach together? How about cooking together? Where was the place where you met? Or maybe if you're having a wedding in the suburbs but want to save memories in the city? The options are endless and we can find what works best for our pre-wedding photoshoot.
6. We can be more creative and relaxed with your wedding day photos
No schedule, no wedding party. No need to race against time. We can take things slowly and enjoy it. Do you want to wake up somewhere far from the city? Let's do it! Do you want to be immersed around the blue ocean? Just contact me!
Pre-wedding photo sessions also often give me the opportunity to challenge my best friend's creativity. It's okay if we're taking photos of the sunrise but the clouds come in. It's also normal if the sky suddenly starts to rain, or we can sip a cup of coffee and chat together - everything. Every moment is worth preserving through pre-wedding photos.
7. You can use that image for wedding receptions, invitations, and more…
The value of pre-wedding photography is that you can not only use it for the wedding, but anywhere. You want to preserve the memories of two people somewhere, you want to update couple photos on Facebook or assert sovereignty anywhere, my photos can help you with that.
Whether or not you want to take photos before the wedding day depends on your choice, but I believe this is a worthwhile choice. How lucky I am to have had the opportunity to take pre-wedding photos in many places, and I can't wait to hear what you think of our collaboration!
